Serge Ignatieff, LL.B., MBA, RCIC
A graduate from LaSalle College in Montreal, AU Washington College of Law and MU Witté Law School, member of CICC (R528113) and Registre québécois des consultants en immigration (RQCIR #12105), he is our Principal Immigration Counsel, Commissioner for Oaths mandated by the Ministry of Justice of Quebec and a recognized expert in International Law.
As the Principal Counsel at Lex Nova, Serge’s practice encompasses a wide spectrum of Canadian immigration matters, ranging from temporary residence — such as study permits, visitor visas, temporary resident permits, and super visas — to permanent residence through family class sponsorship, Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds, and the Express Entry system. His practice also covers citizenship applications and criminal rehabilitation.
In addition, as a foreign-trained lawyer licensed in other jurisdictions, Serge brings specialized expertise in Private International Law, particularly in matters involving questions of jurisdiction, the recognition of foreign court decisions, and the determination of applicable law in cross-border disputes.
